1. Provide
Varibolo Resto has been serving Ranomafana National Park since 2011. In 2016, we introduced a kayak tour for both tourists and Malagasy to explore the rainforest from the Namorana River. We hope to use this tour as a conservation tool for Madagascar's depleted rainforests. We can achieve this goal by providing an immersive Malagasy rainforest experience for our visitors. When you visit Ranomafana, you will have the opportunity to both hike and kayak through the National Park, eat Malagasy cuisine at the Resto overlooking the forest, and you'll also be able to interact with many Malagasy children and adults who depend on the resources of the land for income.
2. Preserve
At Varibolo we want to help Malagasy people support themselves and their families by providing a sustainable way to earn money without damaging the rainforest. Hundreds of hectares of forests in Madagascar are burned down every day to create room for farmland. We believe there is much more value in the rainforest for everyone if it stays intact, since its unique plant and animal species attract visitors from all over the world. While serving these visitors in various ways, our approach is focused on ecotourism, and we ensure that all of Varibolo's clients have a chance to see this firsthand. A portion of Varibolo's profits go directly to Centre ValBio's Conservation Education and Outreach Department.
